Abstract

Decision Support Systems (DSS) play an important role in assisting complex decision-making processes that involve various criteria. This research aims to develop a web-based system with the Profile Matching method as the main approach in the selection and assessment process for the selection of Boys and Girls at Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA). The Profile Matching method was chosen because of its ability to measure the suitability between candidate profiles and predetermined criteria. This system was developed using the Laravel framework, which is known for its reliability and flexibility in building web-based applications. The research process involved collecting criteria data and assessment weights from the selection committee, system design, implementation of the Profile Matching method, and system testing using the System Usability Scale. The results of testing using the System Usability Scale obtained a result of 75 with a good grade according to the final assessment scale. The results of the research are rankings of sons and daughters. This system can produce accurate assessments that are efficient and transparent in the UNIPMA Boys and Girls selection process, and can be applied to similar cases at other institutions.
