Abstract

The purpose of this E-Monograph is to study the potential of indigenous fungi in the biodegradation of organophosphate pesticides using molecular docking. Indigenous fungi are organisms that have the natural ability to decompose various hazardous substances, including organophosphate pesticides that are widely used in agriculture. With the increasing use of these pesticides, an efficient method is needed to reduce the negative impacts on the environment and human health. This study explores the potential of indigenous fungi in degrading organophosphate pesticides using molecular docking techniques. The results of this study indicate that indigenous fungi have enzymes that can bind and break down the structure of pesticides as indicated by significant docking scores. This E-Monograph presents in-depth data and analysis on the potential of fungi in pesticide biodegradation, as well as providing recommendations for further applications in environmentally friendly pesticide management.
