Abstract

Mathematics is the science of logical reasoning and problems related to numbers, one of which is the arithmetic operation of multiplication. There are several methods for calculating multiplication quickly, one of which is the Jarimatika method. The application of the Jarimatics method has the potential to not burden the brain's memory because it does not memorize. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematical multiplication counting in class V students at SDN Bangunrejo Lor III. The research method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research). The subjects in this research were 14 students. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, tests and documentation. The results of this research were that student learning outcomes in cycle I were 45.35%, and increased in cycle II with a percentage of 88.92%. Judging from the research results, it can be concluded that there is an increase inlearning outcomes for multiplication using the Jarimatika method.
