Agus Setyosusilo. 2023. Development of Interactive Video Media in Learning to Read Wayang Stories for Students at SDN 2 Cepoko, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024.. Thesis. Madiun: Magister Study Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor Dr. Dwi Setiyadi, M.M., (2) Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi,S.S, M.Pd. Keywords: Development, Interactive Video, and Puppet Story This research aims to develop interactive video media in learning to read wayang stories and describe the advantages and obstacles of interactive video media in learning to read wayang stories. This research is development research carried out in six stages, namely (1) theoretical and practical analysis, (2) analysis of teacher and student needs, (3) preparation of prototypes, (4) expert testing, (5) revision of prototypes, and (6) ) product use test. The data source for this development research involved 5 Javanese language teachers and 40 students. The results of this research, namely the process of developing interactive video media in learning to read wayang stories for class VI students at SDN 2 Cepoko, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year, are suitable for use as learning media for reading wayang stories. The advantages of interactive video as a medium for independent learning of competency in reading wayang stories, namely that it is effective and interesting to use in learning to read, makes teachers' tasks easier, fosters positive attitudes in students, can be used as an improvement in the development of learning media according to the facilities provided by the school, can be used as integrative learning, and to increase students' understanding it can be connected to the internet. The obstacles faced by using interactive videos as an independent medium for reading wayang stories are that they require special equipment and computer skills and not all teachers have an adequate understanding of computers.
