Abstract
The background of this research is based on the importance of an effective protection system to protect the electricity network from disturbances. This research aims to analyze the performance of the protection system in electric power distribution with a focus on adjusting relay distance settings and testing using the ISA DRTS 64 standard. The research method used is quantitative and focuses on measuring and analyzing numerical data to obtain accurate information. The phase-phase results show that the distance relay operates with high accuracy, with a maximum impedance error of 0.61% in the 3-phase T zone and a minimum impedance error of 0.33% in the 1-phase R zone. Phase-ground results Zone 1 testing was carried out in combination three phase neutral R,S,T uses a constant rated impedance of 1.846 Ω measurement error of 0.33% indicating excellent accuracy, operating time between 15.3 ms and 54.9 ms. The results of metering 1 measurements show that the readings for all phases are very close to 200.5 A, with an error of 0.2% to 0.3%. Demonstrates excellent accuracy in current measurements. For voltage testing, the injection value for each phase is 63.509 V with the same angle as current testing. The measurement results show a reading of around 38 kV on all phases, with a constant error of -0.1%. The results of metering 2 measurements show readings ranging from 400.8 A to 401.5 A in all phases. The current measurement error varies between 0.2% and 0.4%, with the largest error occurring in the R phase. The results of the relay distance measurement test and the relay distance synchrocheck test show that there are differences in angles between the R, S, T sides of the Main VT (Voltage Transformer) and VT Synchro Line, with values 240°, 240°, 240° and 240°, 230°, 218°. This condition produces the "Synchro" status.
