Abstract

Immunomodulators are substances that can improve the body's immune system, as well as fight various types of viruses and bacteria. One of the efforts made to increase the body's immunity is to consume supplements or herbal medicines that contain antioxidants. Flavonoids, saponins, tannins, polyphenol alkaloids, and caffeine are a class of antioxidant compounds found in genitri plants. The aim of this research is to determine the appropriate technique for making granules from 96% ethanol extract of genitri leaves as well as differences in the physical quality of granule preparations using a variety of glidants and lubricants in the form of talcum combined with Mg stearate and aerosil. This research is a laboratory experimental approach, making extracts using the remaceration method using 96% ethanol solvent and using the wet granulation method to make granule preparations. Evaluation of granule preparations includes moisture test, fines percentage test, flow speed test and angle of repose test. The resulting range of moisture percentage is 1.586 ± 0.359 - 2.490 ± 0.360, fines percentage 0.036 ± 0.0145 - 0.056 ± 0.0171, flow speed 11.27 ± 0.100 - 18.78 ± 0.707, angle of repose 26, 24 ± 1.411 - 28 .74 ± 2.594. The conclusion of this research is that the use of talc combined with Mg.stearate and aerosil produces granules with good stability and physical quality.
