Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of using a project-based learning model assisted by picture cards on the poetry writing skills of grade IV elementary school students. The method in this study uses quantitative with a Pre-experimental design of the One Group Pretest-Posttest type. The study took place at SD Negeri Gayam 1 with a sample of 20 students. The sampling technique used is the saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling is sampling based on a relatively small population of <30. Based on the analysis of pretest data, the average value obtained was 62.25 while the posttest data obtained an average value of 84.75. The data analysis technique used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the hypothesis testing obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05, meaning that there is a difference in the average results of the pretest and posttest, so there is an influence of the use of the project based learning model assisted by picture cards on the poetry writing skills of grade IV students of SD Negeri Gayam 1.
