Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of deixis in Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube podcast entitled "Jessica Ice Cold". Describing the function of deixis in Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube podcast entitled "Jessica Ice Cold". The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The speech of the presenter and resource person in Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube podcast entitled "Jessica Ice Cold" which contains deixis is a source of data in the research. The data collection technique used is listening and taking notes. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis methods with stages of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The instrument used is a deixis form and function data card. The results of this research found (1) forms of deixis consisting of person deixis, place deixis, time deixis, discourse deixis, and social deixis. (2) The deictic functions found are (a) the deictic function of person is divided into three, referring to the person speaking, the person being spoken to, and the person being talked about, (b) the deictic function of place is divided into three, referring to a place close to the speaker, rather close to the speaker , and far from the speaker, (c) the deictic function of time is divided into three, referring to the time of speech, past time, and after the speech, (d) the deictic function of discourse is divided into two, referring to things that will be mentioned (cataphora) and things that have been mentioned (anaphora), (e) the function of social deixis as a distinction between social levels.
