Abstract

The aim of this research is to design an Arduino Wemos D1 Trainer based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and can be used in Basic Programming courses so that students can learn about the use of the Internet of Things (IoT). This research uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with the ADDIE development model. Through the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model, this research succeeded in designing the Arduino Wemos D1 Trainer which consists of turning on the LED with a pushbutton and Blynk, parking distance using an Ultrasonic LCD Output sensor, Buzzer and connected to Blynk, temperature monitoring and humidity using a DHT11 sensor with LCD Output, DC Fan and Blynk, and an anti-theft alarm based on hand movements using a PIR sensor with LCD, Buzzer, LED and Blynk Output. Meanwhile, the media validation test got an average of 86.1% and the test results for student responses to the Arduino Wemos D1 Trainer got an average of 89.5%. The success of this research in designing the Arduino Wemos D1 Trainer can be an alternative learning and practicum in the Basic Programming course.
