Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions and actions of MSME entrepreneurs in Ngawi Regency towards the Free Halal Certification Program (SEHATI) and the factors influencing their perceptions and actions regarding this program. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method and descriptive data type. The data sources include informants, event/activity locations, and literature studies. The informants in this study are MSME entrepreneurs in Ngawi Regency, while the activities observed focus on their responses to the program. The literature study consists of relevant books used as references for the research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis follows several steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with verification. The findings indicate that the perceptions and actions of MSME entrepreneurs in Ngawi Regency towards the Free Halal Certification Program (SEHATI) are significantly influenced by various factors. MSME entrepreneurs in Ngawi Regency generally have a positive understanding of the SEHATI program. However, the factors affecting their perceptions and actions are complex. The lack of socialization, education level, knowledge, as well as cultural and religious beliefs regarding halal certification, play a crucial role in their decision to participate in the program.
