ABSTRACT Sri Mulyani Arum Sari, 2025. Application of Project Based Learning Model with Animation Video Media in Short Story Writing Skills of Grade V Students of SDN Bandaralim. Thesis. Madiun: Master of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (1) Dr. Dwi Setyadi, M.M., (II) Dr. Lulus Irawati, M.Pd. Keywords: Short Story, Project Based Learning, Animated Video This study aims to describe the implementation and find out the advantages and disadvantages of the learning model Project Based Learning (PjBL) with an animation video in short story writing skills for grade V students of SDN Bandaralim. The background of this research is the difficulty of students in writing short stories and the use of learning models that are less attractive to students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data uses the source triangulation method technique. The implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model with animated video media is applied to improve short story writing skills, the use of animated videos is chosen to create more interesting learning and can motivate students in learning to write short stories. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the value of short story writing skills, while students of SDN Bandaralim V showed a positive and enthusiastic response in participating in writing learning using the PjBL learning model with animated videos. From the description above, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve short story writing skills.
