Wahyuningsih. 2024. Improvement of Learning Quality and Listening Comprehension Skills Using Youtube Media DongengKita at Student of Class V SD Negeri 1 Badegan Ponorogo. Thesis. Madiun: Magister Study Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisor Dr. Teguh Suharto, M.Pd., Co Advisor Dr. Sigit Ricahyono, S.S., M.Pd. Keywords: Listening Comprehension of Fairy Tales, Media Usage, Youtube DongengKita This research aims to determine the improvement in the quality of learning and the ability to listen to fairy tales through the YouTube media DongengKita among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Badegan Ponorogo. The type of research is classroom action research (Class Action Research) consisting of two cycles, with each cycle conducted over four meetings. The focus of this research is 1) Improving the quality of storytelling listening lessons and 2) Enhancing listening skills using the DongengKita YouTube media in the fifth grade at SD Negeri 1 Badegan Ponorogo.The research procedure includes planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are fifth-grade students totaling 24, consisting of 15 boys and 9 girls. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of this study show that the listening comprehension of Indonesian fairy tales using the DongengKita YouTube media among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Badegan Ponorogo, improved in each cycle. Cycle I, the average score of the students was 58.9 and increased to 75.8 in Cycle II. The completeness of learning to listen to stories among the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Badegan, Ponorogo Regency, also showed improvement. In cycle I, 8 (33.33%) students achieved learning completeness, whereas in cycle II, 21 (87.5%) students achieved learning completeness and classical learning completeness was achieved. The application of the DongengKita YouTube media can also engage students more actively in the learning process. This is evidenced by the increase in activity from cycle I to cycle II.
