Madiun: Master of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Postgraduate School, University of PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M. Pd., (II) Drs. Pujianto, M. Pd., M.M. Keywords: Character, Education, Character education, Novel, Teaching materials This research aims to describe and explain the form of character education values contained in the novel Na Willa by Reda Gaudiamo and its use as a teaching material for Bahaasa Indonesia Class V at SDN 4 Mangkujayan. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The main source of data used is the novel Na Willa by Reda Gaudiamo. The informants in this study are class V students at SDN 4 Mangkujayan. The events in this study are the process of identifying and analyzing the values of character education in the novel Na Willa and learning activities using character cards. The data collection techniques in this study are in the form of document studies, observations, presentation assessments, and documentation. The validity of the data uses source triangulation techniques, data triangulation, and audit trials. The results of the study show that the novel Na Willa by Reda Gaudiamo includes character educational values such as honesty, responsibility, wisdom, discipline, independence, care, courage, creativity, confidence, and patience. These values are relevant to the goals of learning Indonesian for grade V in elementary school, especially in the development of the literacy and character of students, according to the Independent Curriculum. Character card-based discussion and presentation activities that are integrated into learning have successfully become a means to introduce, understand, and apply these values.
