Abstract

ABSTRACT The Effect of Working Capital, Liquidity towards Profitability with Company Size as a Moderating Variable (Study on Property and Real Estate Companies for the 2017-2022 Period). Every company in running its business has its own goals, including in improving the welfare of shareholders. One way to obtain these results is by increasing the profitability of a company. This study aimed to empirically test whether the effect of working capital and liquidity affected the profitability of the company (an empirical study on Property and Real Estate Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2022 period). In addition, this study aimed to empirically test firm size was able to moderate working capital and liquidity towards the profitability of the company (an empirical study on Property and Real Estate Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2022 period). Data collection was carried out by means of documentation. Data collected by collecting, recording, and calculating data related to research such as profit data, costs, equity, financial ratios, and other data needed for the research process obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2022 period which could be accessed via www.idx.co.id. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. Hypothesis testing used multiple linear regression analysis and moderated regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that the working capital variable has an effect towards profitability. While the liquidity variable has an effect towards profitability. In addition, the company size variable is able to moderate the effect of working capital towards profitability. While company size is not able to moderate the effect of liquidity towards profitability. Keywords: Working Capital, Liquidity, Profitability, Firm Size, Property and Real Estate.
