Abstract

Rapid technological developments, especially in the field of web-based technology, have dominated various aspects of life and influenced society at large. In the world of education, this technology has had a significant impact, including in the field of Guidance and Counseling (BK). Guidance and counseling at school plays an important role in helping students develop their potential in various aspects, such as intelligence, interests, talents and personality. Madiun City 1 State Vocational School, as an educational institution, has several problems in managing BK which is carried out manually which can pose a risk of data loss. Therefore, a web-based information system is needed to make it easier to manage BK data, including student data violations, sending violation letters, recapping visit data, and recapping alumni data. This research aims to design, build and transmit a Web-Based Counseling Guidance Information System at SMK Negeri 1 Madiun City using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) system development method and the Black Box Testing testing method. This system was built using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. With this system, it is hoped that it can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of guidance and counseling services, facilitate communication between teachers, students and parents, and support better decision making in the school environment.
