Abstract

This study focuses on developing a Role-Playing Game (RPG) using RPG Maker MV, aiming to explore the platform's potential and assess the game's usability with the System Usability Scale (SUS). The development process included creating detailed Use Case Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams to ensure a well-structured and intuitive game flow. The results indicate that RPG Maker MV is highly effective for RPG development, with a high usability rating according to SUS. The integration of JavaScript for interactive features significantly improved the user experience, making the game more engaging and interactive. This research provides valuable insights for both game developers and academics, demonstrating how RPG Maker MV and JavaScript can be utilized to enhance the quality of RPGs. The findings suggest that these tools are not only effective in creating compelling gameplay but also in optimizing the overall user experience, offering a practical approach for future game development and usability testing.
