Muhammad Nur Cholifatul Rachmawan. 2024. Principal Leadership in Improving Teacher Pedagogical Competence at SDN 5 WONOSIDI. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (I) Dr. Endang Sri Martuti, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Vivi Rulviana., S.Pd., M.Pd. This research aims to explore the role of school principal leadership in improving the pedagogical quality of teachers in schools. The pedagogical quality of teachers has a significant impact on student learning outcomes and overall school performance. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study at the elementary school of SDN 5 WONOSIDI. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with school principals, direct observation of the principal's interactions with teaching staff, and analysis of documents related to school policies and teacher achievement records. The research results show that the principal's leadership has a positive influence on the development of teacher pedagogical quality. Key factors in principal leadership that influence teacher pedagogical quality include clarity of leadership vision, effective communication skills, ongoing support for teacher professional development, and ability to facilitate collaboration between teachers. In addition, school policies that support improving the quality of teaching and learning are also an important factor in this process. This research contributes to further understanding of how principal leadership can be improved to support teacher pedagogical improvement, as well as its practical implications in the development of educational policy at the school level.
