Abstract

Design and development of this library book borrowing information system is a website designed to assist library staff in processing library data and assist students in borrowing books. The problems currently faced by SMK Negeri 1 Gemarang are related to borrowing books and processing library data which is still done manually, namely using large books. This is very inefficient because it wastes paper, contains incorrect data information, and results in irregular filling. The aim of this research is to find out how to design and build a library book borrowing information system. The method used in this research is the waterfall method. The results of this research show that this system was built using the PHP and HTML programming languages. The database used to store data from input in this system uses MySQL. System testing was carried out using the BlackBox Testing method which produces several menus on the system that run normally and usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) which produces a SUS score of 63 and is in grade D, thus indicating that this library system needs to be evaluated and developed further.
