Abstract
ABSTRACT Sukmawati Nuraeni. 2024. The Role of the Magetan Regency General Election Commission in Election Socialization to Beginner Voters. Thesis. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Drs. Budiyono, M.Si Supervisor (II) Wawan Kokokiasa, S.IP., M.Si This research aims to be an effort to describe and explain the importance of the role of the Magetan Regency General Election Commission in election outreach to novice voters. Data collection techniques were obtained using observation data, interview guides and documentation. Data was obtained from primary and secondary sources The results of the research show that the general picture in the discussion of this research is that the role of the General Election Commission of Magetan Regency in socializing the election for novice voters has carried out activities such as interactional socialization which has been carried out in many programs and involving several elements of educators/high school/vocational school students, the community, Mass organizations, which aim to provide education to novice voters, especially female students who are 17 years old at the time of election, so that they can exercise their right to vote properly and appropriately This socialization process has had an impact, especially for novice voters, such as increasing their rights and obligations in this general election so that they can participate in choosing or giving voting rights to potential leaders of their country who can become good leaders.
