Abstract

Advertisement tax is a very potential source of regional revenue in Madiun Regency. The aim of the research is to find out how to optimize advertising tax collection and find out the obstacles faced and minimize these obstacles that occur at the Regional Revenue Agency of Madiun Regency. The analytical method used in the research is descriptive qualitative with primary and secondary data, obtained from the results of data collection techniques through observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of the research show that the optimization of advertising tax collection at the Regional Revenue Agency of Madiun Regency is relatively optimal, because the realization of advertising tax revenue exceeds the predetermined target. However, there is still a high mutation in receivables due to uncollected billboard tax arrears, as a result of billboard taxpayers who are less compliant in paying their taxes, and there are limited human resources which cause advertising tax collection efforts to not be maximized and have a negative impact on billboard tax revenue. . It is necessary to improve the management of information systems and technology by implementing an integrated information system to monitor and manage advertising tax receivables data in real-time, as well as adding competent human resources to minimize these obstacles. BAPENDA Madiun Regency can provide outreach to increase knowledge of the importance of advertisement tax to advertisement owners and the general public in the form of seminars and workshops. Apart from that, you can also take advantage of local events or events by opening information booths at large events, such as night markets and festivals or exhibitions to disseminate information and answer people's questions.
