Tiara Putri Destasari. 2024. Analysis of Madiun City Government Policy in Preventing and Handling Child Marriage. Thesis. Legal Study Program. FH. PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (I) Dr. Siska Diana Sari, S.H.,M.H. Supervisor (II) Nizam Zakka Arrizal, S.H.,M.Kn. This research examines the implementation of Madiun City government policy in preventing and handling early marriage and a juridical analysis of Madiun City government policy in preventing and handling child marriage. The method used is a normative juridical research method, namely research on legal principles using secondary data. Meanwhile, the data analysis method used is a empirical juridical method and the data collection tools used are field studies and document studies. The results of this research are that one of the government initiatives aimed at protecting women and children from danger is the Madiun Mayor's Regulation on Implementation Guidelines for Madiun City Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2015 which regulates the implementation of protection for victims of violence, both children and women. These regulations have, among other things, been amended by Madiun City Regional Regulation Number 35 of 2018. To combat child marriage, local governments must design and implement programs and policies, as well as allocate funds by considering local knowledge and prioritizing the best interests of children. This is done by coordinating policies to achieve KLA. The suggestion from this research is that the community as well as community groups and non-profits in Madiun City are encouraged to work together more seriously in fighting child marriage, and the Madiun City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service (PPPA) seeks to strengthen counseling and outreach efforts in this area.
