Improving Children's Pantun Writing Skills Through Contextual Methods Using Word Cards Media in Grade IV Students of Lembeyan Wetan 1 Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency. Theses. Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Advisor (I) Dr. Elva Nuraina, M.Si.; (II) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd. Keywords: writing, rhymes, contextual, and word cards. This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of learning to write children's rhymes through contextual methods with word card media for fourth-grade students of Lembeyan Wetan 1 Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency and (2) student learning outcomes in learning to write children's rhymes through contextual methods with word card media for fourth-grade students of Lembeyan Wetan 1 Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study are (1) The application of contextual methods with word card media was carried out well, this is known from the observation scores of activities carried out by teachers and students from cycle I to cycle II which increased. For teacher activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 75 (moderate) and increased in cycle II to 90 (high) and student activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 70 (moderate) and increased in cycle II, namely 87.5 (high), and (2) Learning outcomes in learning to write children's rhymes through contextual methods with word card media for fourth-grade students of Lembeyan Wetan 1 Elementary School, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency, increased after applying the contextual method with word card media, which was indicated by the percentage of learning completion in each cycle. The percentage of student completion in cycle I was 50% (low) and increased significantly to 79.17% (very high) in cycle II. The average class value in cycle I was 71.67 (moderate) and increased to 76.25 (high) in cycle II.
