Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart donation box system to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of donation fund management. The system utilizes a TCS3200 sensor to detect banknote denominations based on color, and an ESP32 microcontroller to process data and send real-time notifications through a Telegram application and a website. The testing results indicate that the system is capable of detecting banknote denominations with high accuracy, processing data automatically, and sending notifications without significant delays, thereby supporting efficient and transparent fund calculation. With this system, manual errors can be minimized, and donation box management becomes more modern and integrated. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of IoT technology in the social and religious sectors.
