Keywords: writing, paragraphs, narrative, and inquiry This research aims to describe (1) the application of the inquiry learning model in learning to write narrative paragraphs in class IV students at SD Negeri Tinawun I, Malo District, Bojonegoro Regency, and (2) the obstacles to implementing the inquiry learning model in learning to write narrative paragraphs in class IV students at SD Negeri Tinawun I Malo District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are (1) the application of the inquiry learning model in learning to write narratives for Class IV students at SD Negeri Tinawun I, Malo District, Bojonegoro Regency, can be said to have run smoothly. Learning activities are stated to be quite effective and focused. Students' enthusiasm for learning can be seen in their activeness in class with enthusiasm for learning, students' skills in working on questions given by the teacher. This effectiveness is proven by the results of observations and interviews that students are more comfortable in expressing ideas based on personal experience, (2) obstacles to implementing the inquiry learning model in learning to write narratives for Class IV students at SD Negeri Tinawun I, Malo District, Bojonegoro Regency, namely limited writing and reading skills. , and student understanding, some students still have difficulty maintaining concentration during class, and teachers have not been able to choose a learning model that is suitable for students.
