Abstract
This study aims to improve fine motor skills through media foot-print game in Dharma Wanita Brubuh 2 Ngawi, children's gross motor skills have not yet developed optimally, particularly in aspects of balance, coordination, agility, and focus. Therefore, enjoyable learning activities are needed that are appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood, one of which is playing the foot-print game. This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years through playing the foot-print game. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects were eight children aged 5-6 years at Dharma Wanita Brubuh 2 Kindergarten. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study indicate that playing the footprint game can improve children's gross motor skills. This is evident in the improvement in each gross motor indicator, namely balance, coordination, agility, and focus, from pre-action to cycle I and again in cycle II. Thus, playing the footprint game has proven effective in improving the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years. Keywords: gross motor skills, children aged 5-6 years, footprint game.
