Abstract
This study aims to describe (1) the improvement of reading comprehension skills using the PQ4R method assisted by poster media in fifth grade students of SDN Beji IV, Kedewan District, Bojonegoro Regency and (2) the activities of fifth grade students of SDN Beji IV, Kedewan District, Bojonegoro Regency in learning reading comprehension using the PQ4R method assisted by poster media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the results of tests conducted on fifth grade students of SDN Beji IV, Kedewan District, Bojonegoro Regency. In cycle I, the lowest score was 20, the highest score was 100, the class average was 66.58, and the percentage of classical completion was 61.5%. In cycle II, the lowest score was 40, the highest score was 100, the class average was 72.16 and the percentage of classical completion was 80%, and (2) student activities showed that in cycle I, student activities obtained good criteria and in cycle II, they increased although they were still in the good criteria.
