Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the project based learning model assisted by video media can improve poetry writing skills in class V students of SDN 2 Begendeng, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN 2 Begendeng, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to write poetry using the Project Based Learning model assisted by video media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of the project based learning model assisted by video media can improve poetry writing skills in class V students of SDN 2 Begendeng, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency, there has been an increase. (2) the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN 2 Begendeng, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to write poetry using the Project Based Learning model assisted by video media increased. This is evidenced by the average score of student learning outcomes in cycle I of 66. In cycle II, the average score of student learning outcomes increased to 95.
