Laila Noor Fitria. 2026. The Effect of the Snowball Throwing Method Assisted by Video Media to Improve the Speaking Skills of Sixth Grade Students at Pojok Bojonegoro Elementary School. Thesis. Master Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School of PGRI Madiun University. Supervisors (I) Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Agung Nasrulloh Saputro, M.Pd. Keywords: Snowball Throwing, video media, speaking skills, cooperative learning. In order to improve education, speaking skills are one of the important aspects that students need to have. However, in reality, the speaking skills of sixth grade students are still low. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the Snowball Throwing method assisted by video media on the speaking skills of sixth grade students at Pojok Bojonegoro Public Elementary School. In this study, a quantitative approach was used with an experimental research method. The research sample was taken randomly. Meanwhile, in order to collect data, the researcher used a test method. The data analysis techniques used in this study were prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests. The results showed that the application of the Snowball Throwing method assisted by video can affect the speaking skills of sixth grade students at Pojok Bojonegoro Public Elementary School, where the average score obtained in the experimental class was 83.3 and in the control class was 61.7. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of the Snowball Throwing method assisted by video media to improve the speaking skills of sixth grade students at Pojok Bojonegoro Public Elementary School in the 2025/2026 academic year. The author hopes that the video-assisted Snowball Throwing method can be applied to learning in schools so that it has a positive influence on students.
