Abstract
This study aims to improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes in Social Studies through the implementation of the educational game media Quizizz Paper Mode. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively between the researcher and the Social Studies teacher. The subjects of the study were 32 students of class VIII-F at SMPN 13 Madiun. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results indicate that the use of Quizizz Paper Mode significantly improved students’ learning motivation and academic achievement. Students’ motivation increased from a low category in the pre-cycle to a high category in the second cycle. Learning outcomes also improved, as shown by the increase in average scores and classical mastery reaching more than 80% in cycle II. Quizizz Paper Mode created an interactive, enjoyable, and engaging learning environment, encouraging students to be more active and focused during the learning process. Therefore, Quizizz Paper Mode can be considered an effective alternative learning media and formative assessment tool to enhance students’ motivation and learning outcomes in Social Studies
