Improving Single Sentence Writing Skills Through the Demonstration Method Using the "Susun Kata Ajaib" (Magic Word Arrangement) Game for Grade II Students at SDN 1 Nglinggo, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency. Thesis. Madiun: Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. V. Keywords: Writing, Demonstration Method, Magic Word Arrangement Game This study aims to: (1) describe the improvement in motivation to learn single sentence writing among grade II students at SDN 1 Nglinggo through the application of the demonstration method with the "Susun Kata Ajaib" game; and (2) determine the effectiveness of the demonstration method with the "Susun Kata Ajaib" game in improving the single sentence writing skills of grade II students at SDN 1 Nglinggo. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 25 grade II students at SDN 1 Nglinggo for the 2025/2026 academic year. Data sources included informants (teachers and students), classroom learning events, and learning outcome documents. Data collection techniques involved observation, learning outcome tests (post-tests), and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the demonstration method with the "Susun Kata Ajaib" game was highly effective and successful. This is evidenced by: (1) a significant increase in students' single sentence writing skills, where the initial competency rate was only 32% (8 students), increasing to 48% (12 students) in Cycle I, and reaching 88% (22 students) in Cycle II with a class average score of 80.25; (2) an increase in student learning motivation, as seen from the rise in the average percentage of student activity from 65% in Cycle I to 81% in Cycle II.
