Keywords: writing, poetry, media, copy the master, and natural media This study aims to describe (1) the application of the copy the master strategy assisted by natural media can improve the poetry writing skills of fifth-grade students of Mojomati Elementary School, Jetis District, Ponorogo Regency and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of Mojomati Elementary School, Jetis District, Ponorogo Regency in learning to write poetry using the copy the master strategy assisted by natural media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The conclusion of this study is (1) the application of the copy the master strategy assisted by natural media can improve the poetry writing skills of fifth-grade students of Mojomati Elementary School, Jetis District, Ponorogo Regency. This is proven by the teacher being able to improve the quality of learning by directing and guiding students and providing maximum motivation in the process of learning to write poetry, and in addition, the seriousness and activeness of students and the emergence of courage to ask about material that has not been understood are shown by students from the beginning to the end of the process of learning to write poetry using the master poem, and (2) Fifth-grade students' poetry writing outcomes will improve if they use the copy-the-master strategy, supported by natural resources. This was demonstrated by the fact that in Cycle I, the researchers failed to achieve success, as indicated by a test score of only 23.80%. In Cycle II, the research successfully improved, as evidenced by a 71.42% increase in test results.
