Abstract
Inclusive education is a manifestation of the fulfillment of the right to education for all students without discrimination, including students with special needs such as dyslexia. One of the main problems faced by dyslexic students is reading difficulties, which directly impacts academic achievement and social-emotional development. This study aims to describe the application of flashcard media in reading learning, analyze the improvement of dyslexic students' reading abilities, and identify obstacles in its implementation in inclusive schools. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects were students with mild to moderate dyslexia at SMP Negeri 1 Takeran, Magetan Regency. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and reading ability tests before and after treatment. The results showed that the use of visual, simple, and repetitive flashcard media can help students recognize letters, read syllables, and read simple words better. In addition, flashcard media also increased student motivation and activeness in the learning process, although there were still obstacles such as limited time and media variations. Thus, flashcard media can be an effective alternative learning media to improve the reading abilities of dyslexic students in inclusive schools.
