Supervisor I: Dr. Jeffry Handhika, M.Pd, Supervisor II: Dwi Rosita Sari, PhD Keywords: Problem-Based Learning, Visual Media, Writing This study aims to: (1) Describe the application of the PBL learning model based on the Telaga Ngebel legend image media in teaching sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Kepet 02 Dagangan, Madiun Regency, to write simple compositions; (2) Improve the ability of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Kepet 02 Dagangan, Madiun Regency, to write simple compositions using the PBL learning model based on the Telaga Ngebel legend image media; (3) Describe the obstacles encountered in the process of implementing the PBL learning model based on the Telaga Ngebel legend image media in teaching sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Kepet 02 Dagangan, Madiun Regency, to write simple compositions. This research is classroom action research. The stages of this research were arranged starting from the pre-cycle stage, cycle I, to cycle II. The research subjects were all sixth-grade students at Kepet 02 Dagangan State Elementary School in Madiun Regency. The results of the study show that: (1) The application of the PBL learning model based on the Telaga Ngebel legend image media in teaching simple essay writing in the sixth grade at SD Negeri Kepet 02 Dagangan, Madiun Regency, proved to be effective in creating structured, participatory, and student-centered learning; (2) The results of observations and essay assessments showed significant progress in terms of content completeness, clarity of flow, suitability with the image media, language accuracy, and idea development within the PBL framework; (3) Although the application of PBL based on the Telaga Ng legend image media
