Abstract
This study aims to: (1) Describe the application of the Picture and Picture method assisted by interactive picture stories to improve the contextual vocabulary comprehension of second-grade students at Panunggalan I Sugihwaras Public Elementary School in Bojonegoro Regency, (2) Describe the obstacles and solutions in the application of the Picture and Picture method assisted by interactive picture stories to improve the contextual vocabulary comprehension of second-grade students at Panunggalan I Sugihwaras Elementary School in Bojonegoro Regency. This research is classroom action research. The stages of this research were arranged starting from the pre-cycle stage, cycle I, to cycle II. The research subjects were second-grade students at Panunggalan I Sugihwaras Elementary School in Bojonegoro Regency. Based on the data analysis, the following results were obtained: (1). The application of the Picture and Picture method assisted by interactive picture stories was proven to improve the contextual vocabulary comprehension of second-grade students at Panunggalan I Sugihwaras Elementary School in Bojonegoro Regency. (2). The obstacles encountered in applying the Picture and Picture method assisted by interactive picture stories include the limitations of students' ability to express the meaning of vocabulary verbally and differences in concentration levels and learning speeds among students.
