ABSTRACT Astria Dili Viana. 2025. Improving Understanding of Reading Majas Through Monopoly Learning Media Assisted by QR Code in Grade V Students of SD Negeri 3 Jogomerto Tanjunganom Nganjuk. Thesis. Madiun: Magister Study Program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors (I) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, M.M., M.Pd., (II) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd. Keywords: Understanding of Reading Majas, Learning Outcomes, Monopoly Media Assisted by QR Code The understanding of Grade V students at SD Negeri 3 Jogomerto towards majas is still low because reading comprehension learning has been monotonous, teacher-centered, and using conventional media that lacks interest and active student involvement. In addition, many of them have not achieved the expected level of learning outcomes. The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of understanding of reading majas and Indonesian language learning outcomes through monopoly learning media assisted by QR Code. This research uses a qualitative approach, with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the research were 7 students in Grade V of SD Negeri 3 Jogomerto. Data collection techniques were observation and tests. Data analysis used descriptive statistics on average and percentage, namely by inventorying and combining all information obtained from each cycle. This research lasted two cycles and each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed an increase in understanding of reading majas in the pre-cycle with an average score of 51.71 and completeness of 0%, cycle I with an average score of 74.71 and completeness of 57.14%, and cycle II with an average score of 82.29 and completeness of 85.71%. The impact of improving understanding of reading majas is that students are skilled in recognizing, interpreting, and analyzing figurative language styles such as personification, metaphor, simile, hyperbole, repetition, alliteration, and litotes. While the impact of improving learning outcomes is increasing knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The conclusion is that monopoly learning media assisted by QR Code can improve students' understanding of reading majas and learning outcomes.
