Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of Indonesian language learning based on local folktales using interactive storytelling techniques in Grade V at SD Negeri Miyono 2; (2) describe students’ responses to the implementation of interactive storytelling techniques in Indonesian language learning in Grade V; (3) describe the challenges encountered during the implementation of Indonesian language learning based on local folktales using interactive storytelling techniques in Grade V. The research method employed was qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were Grade V students selected based on specific considerations. Data analysis was conducted using interactive analysis. The results indicate that: (1) the implementation of Indonesian language learning based on local folktales with interactive storytelling techniques in Grade V at SD Negeri Miyono 2 was carried out effectively and systematically. The teacher applied strategies such as expressive delivery, intonation, audiovisual media, as well as activities of retelling and writing summaries to enhance student engagement; (2) students’ responses to the interactive storytelling techniques showed high enthusiasm, interest, and active participation; (3) the challenges faced during the implementation of interactive storytelling learning stemmed from factors related to the teacher, students, facilities, and the learning environment
