Abstract
This study aims to enhance students' learning interest and learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning among fifth grade students at SDN 02 Klegen, Madiun City. The study was motivated by low student interest and learning outcomes that had not reached classical mastery due to limited use of technology in instruction. A qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research was implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 21 fifth grade students. Data were collected through observation of learning interest and IPAS achievement tests and analyzed descriptively using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results show that AI-based learning significantly improved students' learning interest and academic achievement. Learning interest increased from 23.8% in the pre-cycle stage to 76.19% in Cycle I and reached 100% in Cycle II across indicators such as engagement, concentration, curiosity, and positive learning perceptions through the use of AI tools including Gemini AI and Canva AI. Learning outcomes also improved, with mastery increasing from 28.6% in the pre-cycle stage to 61.91% in Cycle I and achieving 100% in Cycle II. The class average score rose from 62.38 to 86.19. These findings confirm Al• based learning effectiveness.
