The implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in learning to write short stories with local wisdom themes for 6th-grade students at SDN Ngranget, Madiun Regency [Master's thesis, Universitas PGRI Madiun]. Keywords: CTL, Writing, Short Story, Local Wisdom Abstract This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in learning to write short stories themed around local wisdom for 6th-grade students at SDN Ngranget, Madiun Regency; and (2) describe the obstacles encountered during the implementation of the CTL model in learning to write short stories themed around local wisdom for 6th-grade students at SDN Ngranget, Madiun Regency. The research method used in this study is a qualitative case study, utilizing interactive analysis for data processing. The results indicate that: (1) CTL effectively supports writing instruction that emphasizes cultural meaning-making, creativity, and the ability to integrate local values into narrative writing; and (2) obstacles to implementing CTL in learning to write short stories themed around local wisdom include students' limited cultural experience, a low ability to interpret cultural phenomena, variations in writing abilities within the class, and a lack of vocabulary mastery related to cultural contexts.
