Abstract
This study aims to examine the extent to which the implementation of the Differential Morning Program (DMP) can improve the activeness and independence of students in Group B of Diponegoro Kindergarten, Pembina State Kindergarten, Madiun City. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was implemented in two cycles, with 16 students from Group B of Pembina State Kindergarten, Madiun City as subjects. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and child development assessment sheets. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The study concluded that the implementation of the Differential Morning Program (DMP) improved children's activeness and independence in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of active students was 42%, increased to 55% in Cycle 1, and experienced a very significant increase of 82% in Cycle 2. This is because children began to actively participate in morning activities. This is due to the variety of activities presented (differentiation) tailored to students' interests and talents. While the percentage of student independence in the pre-cycle showed 36%, increased in cycle I by 56% and jumped in cycle II by 84%. This shows that participants have been able to independently choose a variety of activities in morning activities without being influenced by others, students are able to recognize their talents, this is none other than because students are involved in choosing a variety of activities in morning activities. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Differential Morning Program is effective in increasing the activeness and independence of early childhood in Pembina State Kindergarten, Madiun City
