Abstract
This research is motivated by the challenges of 21st-century education which require a paradigm shift from surface learning (rote memorization) to deep learning to equip students with future competencies. This study aims to comprehensively describe planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Deep Learning approach implementation in Indonesian Language subjects at SDN 2 Kudu. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data sources include the principal, class teachers from grade 1 to grade 6, and students at SDN 2 Kudu. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies of teaching modules and student works. Data validity was tested using source and technique triangulation, while data analysis was conducted interactively involving data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that planning for Deep Learning implementation is carried out adaptively, starting with diagnostic assessments to map students' learning profiles and readiness, which are then translated into contextual Deep Learning Plans (RPM). The implementation of learning integrates four elements of the Deep Learning framework and 6C competencies (Character, Citizenship, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking). The dominant strategies applied are Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and the use of digital technology, successfully creating a learning atmosphere that is meaningful, mindful, and joyful. Evaluation applies authentic assessment based on performance and products, and prioritizes a culture of metacognitive reflection for both teachers and students as feedback for continuous improvement. The implication of this research demands a repositioning of the teacher's role from merely an instructor to a designer of deep learning experiences.
