The Influence of the Synectics Learning Method and Linguistic Intelligence on the Ability to Appreciate Fictional Prose among Public Elementary School Students in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Loceret, Kabupaten Nganjuk. Thesis. Madiun: Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate Faculty, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd., (II) Dr. Muhammad Binur Huda, M. Pd Keywords: Synectics, Intelligence, Linguistics, Fictional Prose. This study examines: (1) the effect of the synectics learning method on the ability to appreciate fictional prose among public elementary school students in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Loceret, Kabupaten Nganjuk; (2) the effect of linguistic intelligence on the ability to appreciate fictional prose among these students; and (3) the interaction between the synectics learning method and linguistic intelligence in influencing the ability to appreciate fictional prose. A quantitative quasi-experimental method was employed, and the data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA. The results show that: (1) the synectics learning method significantly affects students’ ability to appreciate fictional prose; (2) linguistic intelligence has a significant effect on their ability to appreciate fictional prose; and (3) there is a significant interaction between the synectics learning method and linguistic intelligence in shaping students’ ability to appreciate fictional prose in Cluster 2, Kecamatan Loceret, Kabupaten Nganjuk.
