This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of the Inquiry Learning method assisted by poster media in Indonesian language learning for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 5 Kebonagung, Sawahan District, Nganjuk Regency; and (2) describe the improvement of students’ language skills after the implementation of the method. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of the fourth-grade teacher and 10 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, language skill tests, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results show that the implementation of the Inquiry Learning method assisted by poster media was carried out effectively through the stages of orientation, problem formulation, hypothesis development, data collection, hypothesis testing, and conclusion drawing. The use of posters as visual media proved effective in helping students understand the learning context, maintain focus, and facilitate the inquiry process. In addition, there was a significant improvement in students’ language skillsacross each cycle. Students also demonstrated increased activeness, motivation, and engagement throughout the learning process. The implementation of the Inquiry Learning method with the assistance of poster media is proven effective in improving both the process and outcomes of Indonesian language learning among fourth grade students at SD Negeri 5 Kebonagung. This learning model is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy for Indonesian language education in elementary schools.
