Keywords: writing, experience, mind maps, and poster media This study aims to describe (1) the use of the mind map method assisted by poster media can improve the ability to write experiences of fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Waung, Baron District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) the response of fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Waung, Baron District, Nganjuk Regency to learning to write experiences using the mind map method assisted by poster media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) Learning to write experiences using the mind map method assisted by poster media in fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Waung, Baron District, Nganjuk Regency has increased. The results of the first cycle obtained an average of 67,7 while the second cycle obtained an average value of 80,9, and (2) Student responses in learning to write experiences using the mind map method assisted by poster media in fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Waung, Baron District, Nganjuk Regency there is a change to a positive student response indicator.
