The Implementation of Project-Based Learning to Improve Literacy and Numeracy of Fourth Grade Students at SD Negeri 4 Kepel, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency in the Academic Year 2025/2026. Thesis. Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School of Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Cerianing Putri Pratiwi, M.Pd. Keywords: project-based learning, literacy, numeracy, elementary school students This study aims to describe the implementation of project-based learning in improving literacy and numeracy skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Kepel, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency in the academic year 2025/2026. The background of this research is the low literacy and numeracy abilities of students, which are caused by teacher-centered learning that provides limited meaningful learning experiences for students. Therefore, an innovative learning model that actively engages students is needed, one of which is Project-Based Learning (PjBL). This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The subjects of the study include the fourth grade teacher and students of SD Negeri 4 Kepel. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that the implementation of project-based learning was conducted through the stages of project planning, project execution, and project evaluation. Project-based learning successfully improved students’ literacy skills, as evidenced by their enhanced reading comprehension, writing ability, and communication of project results both orally and in writing. In addition, students’ numeracy skills also improved, as seen in their ability to apply number concepts, measurement, and mathematical problem-solving within the context of the projects. Thus, project-based learning is effective in enhancing the literacy and numeracy skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Kepel.
