Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the implementation of poetry writing learning using the out-of-class learning method assisted by visual media for fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Suru, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) the learning outcomes in poetry writing learning using the out-of-class learning method assisted by visual media for fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Suru, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method. The results of this study are (1) the implementation of the out-of-class learning method assisted by visual media using visual media in writing poetry for fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Suru, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency went according to plan. Learning to write poetry by applying the out-of-class learning method assisted by visual media carried out by the teacher followed the learning steps that had been designed, and (2) learning outcomes of the application of the out-of-class learning method assisted by visual media using visual media in writing poetry for fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Suru, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to write poetry. This is proven by the average score obtained after the application of the out-of-class learning method assisted by visual media using visual media is at 81.80.
