Abstract

This study's objective is to “analyze the effect of profitability, firm size, and dividend policy on firm value with capital structure as a mediating variable in the Consumer Goods Non-Cyclicals sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018–2023”. A quantitative methodology with path analysis was employed, using data acquired from the annual financial reports of companies in the sector. The results reveal that dividend policy significantly, firm size, and profitability influence firm value, both directly and indirectly through capital structure. Furthermore, capital structure is proven to serve as a “mediating variable” linking the three independent variables to firm value. These outcomes emphasise the significance of optimizing financing structures, improving profitability, and maintaining consistent dividend policies to enhance firm value and strengthen investor confidence. This research advances the development of financial literature while providing practical insights for managers and investors in making strategic decisions.
