Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Pembimbing (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd dan Pembimbing (II) Suyanti, S.Pd, M.Pd. Communication skills and academic achievement are vital competencies for elementary school students. Observations indicate that second-grade students' communication skills and academic achievement in the subject ""Berteman dalam Keragaman " at SDN 02 Carangrejo only achieved 40%. Therefore, a learning innovation using the storytelling method was implemented. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the storytelling method to improve second-grade students' communication skills and academic achievement in the subject ""Berteman dalam Keragaman". This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted at SDN 02 Carangrejo, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency, in two cycles, Cycle I and Cycle II. The approach used both qualitative and quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used tests and communication skills observation sheets. Quantitative data analysis used statistics, while qualitative data analysis included three components: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this classroom action research showed a 44% increase in communication skills from cycle I to 100% in cycle II. Communication skills increased by 56%. Achievement improved by 44% from cycle I to 88% in cycle II. Achievement improved by 44%. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the storytelling learning method can improve the communication skills and achievement of second-grade students at SDN 02 Carangrejo in the topic "Berteman dalam Keragaman" in the 2024/2025 academic year.
