Abstract
ABSTRACT Yuli Indra Setiawan. 2025. Analysis of On Grid PLTS Power Optimization at Jasa Marga Ngawi Kertosono Office. Thesis. Electrical Engineering Study Program, FT, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors (I) Ina Sunaryatiningsih, S.T., S.Pd., M.T., (II) Irna Tri Yuniahastuti, S.Pd., M.T. Solar Power Plants (PLTS) are a potential solution to reduce dependence on fossil fuels in Indonesia, particularly in areas with high solar radiation potential, such as East Java. The Ngawi-Kertosono Jasa Marga Office has implemented an on-grid PLTS system as an effort to utilize renewable energy. This study aims to analyze the compliance of actual electrical power generated with theoretical estimates and identify factors affecting system efficiency. The study was conducted quantitatively from September to October 2024 using a multimeter, data logger, and Microsoft Excel software. The variables analyzed included actual daily electrical power, input power (PIN) based on panel capacity and irradiation duration, system efficiency, and performance ratio (PR). Data analysis was performed by comparing actual output to theoretical estimates, calculating efficiency, and assessing the system's PR. The analysis shows that the on-grid Solar Power Generation System (PLTS) at the Jasa Marga Ngawi–Kertosono Office during September–October 2024 operated efficiently, stably, and optimally. Daily energy production ranged from 40.2 to 69 kWh, with an average of 52.9 kWh and a total of 3,232.2 kWh. DC voltage, current, and AC power responded well to solar irradiation, with a peak power of 9.3 kW. The average Performance Ratio of 85.43%, inverter efficiency of 98–100%, and power factor close to 100% indicate minimal energy losses. These findings confirm that the PLTS system is suitable as a model for renewable energy implementation in tropical public sectors and has the potential to support the clean energy transition in commercial and institutional buildings. Keywords: On-Grid Solar PV, Power Optimization, Performance Ratio, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy.
