Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and social capital on the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with green innovation as a moderating variable. Financial literacy is considered the ability of MSMEs to manage financial resources effectively, while social capital encompasses networks, trust, and social norms that support business activities. The sustainability of MSMEs is a crucial issue given their strategic role in national economic growth, particularly amidst pressures from environmental issues and market changes. Green innovation is positioned as a moderating factor that strengthens the relationship between the independent variables and MSME sustainability, assuming that environmentally friendly innovation can increase MSME competitiveness and adaptability. This study used a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis method. The results show that financial literacy and social capital have a significant positive effect on MSME sustainability. Furthermore, green innovation was shown to be unable to strengthen this relationship, indicating that green innovation is still not a primary focus in MSME practices and is still relatively low and has not become an integral part of building MSME sustainability through their social networks. Keywords: Financial literacy, social capital, MSME sustainability, green innovation, PLS-SEM.
