Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of leverage, free cash flow, and firm size on earnings management. The research subjects were property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020–2024. This study used a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from company financial reports. The research sample consisted of 50 companies selected through purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25 analysis tools. The results showed that leverage, free cash flow, and firm size had a positive and significant effect on earnings management.
